Slub Yarn Undershirt - T-Shirt - White
A new take on a modern classic whose history stretches back to the early 1900s, when the US Navy issued T-shirts as undershirts, to World War II when sailors wore them as outerwear, and the ensuing craze back home for this new casual look.
Made from ‘slub’ yarn, this incredibly soft and airy fabric is also full of character. In fact, you need to pick this shirt up and handle it in person to truly appreciate it. The fabric is made the old-fashioned way in Wakayama, the mecca of knit fabrics in Japan.
The cut is inspired by civilian tees of the 1930s, including those worn by the Civilian Conservation Corps. (CCC), with a tighter neck hole and standard sleeve lengths, perfect for wearing as an undershirt.
As always, they’re ethically made in Japan with John Lofgren & Co. Wear them in summer as a stand-alone, as a cooler-weather layer, or as an undershirt at work: you can’t go wrong with these tees.
