Story:

At Office Hours, there are certain items in the shop that have become signature pieces. One of those is the classic Shop Coat. In the hunt for more interesting shapes and fabrics, we connected with Epaulet, a Los Angeles based brand with a long history of making killer products.

The Doyle is Epaulet's homage to the classic French work jacket. Starting with the minimal and utilitarian shape of the original garment, they've upgraded the fit, construction, and fabric to create a versatile piece that can be worn as an all-day smart casual garment.

The OH x Epaulet Doyle is a stunning jacket, crafted in 100% cotton 12oz Sashiko pique. This intricate fabric is woven in Japan and typically used for Kendo, Aikido, and Judo uniforms. It's both extremely strong and very comfortable. Each garment is dyed in a deep green/evergreen dye for a rich color tone. The garment then went through a light wash cycle - gaining exceptional character due to the thick pique weave structure. It's very soft when worn, making it a great outerwear piece, an excellent alternative to a sportcoat, and a practical layering piece under a heavier coat.

This Doyle matches brilliantly to chinos, denim, and trousers. It's easy to care for, effortless to wear, and unmatched in its ratio of quality to price.

Made in Los Angeles

Each Doyle is made by a handful of skilled operators at Epaulet's Downtown Los Angeles facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, and their proficiency is evident in the clean finishing and consistent stitching on each garment. These are among the finest and most meticulously made garments in the United States.
